The Haines brothers are the five sons of Walter Haines, all of whom proudly served their country from World War II through the Korean conflict.

Robert was the middle son and the only one to join the Navy. He was a Seaman 2nd Class stationed off the coast of Okinawa during the summer of 1944.

The Haines brothers joined the service in the same order of their birth - John, Leo, Robert, Roy and then Bill. The four oldest brothers all served in WWII at the same time and all made it home safely.
