About Me Born in Cumberland, MD (Greene Street). Raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (history and philosophy) and the University of Pennsylvania (MA, history of science). Lived for extended periods in Philadelphia, New York (Manhattan), San Francisco and San Diego. Returned to Cumberland in 2005 after retiring from a 25+ year career in business journalism and marketing communications. I live in Bowling Green. Director of Communications, Allegany Museum.
